Scrolling News – The News Index will display headlines as the stories come in.
Search Scrolling News – To search for specific information, Select News/Search Scrolling News from the Main Menu Bar.
Search Fixed News – Fixed news if page based and the indexes will never scroll. There are a fixed number of pages and the stories will update right in the page rather than generating a new story in the index like scrolling news does.
Web Page – The News/Web Page selection will allow you to open web pages right in ProphetX and either save them right in your workbook or create shortcut icons that you can drag and drop into the workbook to open them on the fly.
News Page Basics – To read a news page listed in an index, double-click on the headline. A news page window will open containing the selected page.
News Filters
Scrolling News Filters – ProphetX news filters provides powerful filtering options to narrow your search for information.
Fixed News Filters – ProphetX news filters provides powerful filtering options to narrow your search for information.
Editing a News Filter – If you already have a filter created, find the filter in the Files Docked Toolbar and either double-click to open it or drag and drop it to the ProphetX work area.
News Alerts – News Alerts let you know when a new story comes in. This is typically used for stories that come in at a specific time each day or each week.
Searching Dow Jones News– Many times Dow Jones News must be searched for by category codes in order to view more extensive news.
Reading News Stories – When you select a news topic, a news index opens with story headlines.
News Bookmarks – You can set one or more bookmarks in your news index headlines in order to quickly find them later.
