#1 – Installing ProphetX

Download and Install the Latest Version of DTN ProphetX If you are on a corporate network environment, please ensure that you have authorization and the required administrative rights on your computer before downloading the upgrade. #2 – Sample Workbooks

To download a Sample Workbook: From the Main Menu, hover your mouse over the File menu button on the Docking Panel Toolbar • Double-click ProphetX Sample Workbooks • Click the file name of the workbook you’d like to download • The sample workbook will be downloaded and saved to your ProphetX Files

#3 – Symbol Search

Ticker symbols are what drive the data that is displayed in a quote sheet. With our Symbol Search tool, you can look up any symbol using keywords and then drag and drop one or more symbols into your quote sheet. To access the Symbol Search tool: Hover your mouse over the magnifying glass icon

#4 – Entering Futures Symbols

Alias Symbols: the Month/Year is entered with an alias and will automatically roll to the next contract month upon expiration. Type the symbol Root followed by “@” and a number that represents the forward number of contracts – @1 is the current prompt contract, @2 for the next contract, etc. For example, QCL@1, @C@1.

#5 – Inserting/Deleting Columns

To insert a column right click a column header and select Insert Column Choose a Field Group and select a column to add. The new column will be added. To delete a column right click the column header of the column you wish to delete. Select Delete column.

#6 – Creating a Linked Chart

Click any symbol from your quote sheet Click the drop-down arrow next to the linked view icon Select chart As you click symbols in the quote sheet the chart will change to the selected symbol

#7 – Adding Studies to a Chart

Right click the chart Select Add study Select a study from the list The add to box allows you to select where to add the study Click ok

#8 – News

To create a news search select News from the main menu bar and click Search Scrolling News. Scrolling news can be searched by all sources (*) or by individual news sources. Make your selection from the list. Type one or multiple keywords in the keyword entry area If you are searching for multiple keywords
