Fibonacci fans, arcs, extensions and retracements are based on a study line that you draw. The base study line can be customized in the same ways as a standard trendline, described below. To customize line style, width, or color, refer to Customizing Chart Lines.
- Right-click on the study line and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog, under the Position tab, you can make the following changes.
- Date: Enter the starting and ending date for the line study, or click the arrow to the right of this box and select the date from the calendar. Click on the right and left arrows at the top of the calendar to go to the next or previous months. To remove the calendar, click on the same arrow used to open it.
- Start Value: Enter the Y-Scale value for the start of the line study. The point at which you started drawing the line study will move to the value entered.
- End Value: Enter the Y-Scale value for the end of the line study. The point at which you ended the line study will move to the value entered.
- Snap To: If you would like the start and end of the line study to automatically snap to a particular price field, select it from this list.
- Font: Click the Font button to change the font, font style, font size, color, and effects.
Tip: Your Snap To selection will remain as the default for later line studies.
- Click the OK button to exit.
Individual Lines can be further customized by clicking on the Line tab in the Properties dialog box.
