Right-click on the chart, study, or line study to be changed, then Select Change XXX Properties, where XXX is the symbol reference.
The object or symbol will be identified on the pop-up menu to verify your selection.
In the Properties dialog, select the Draw or Line tab.
To change the line style: Click on the arrow on the Style box and select a line style. Note: If you are modifying a chart graph, the style box will offer a list of chart styles instead of line styles.
- To change the line weight: Click on the arrow on the Weight box and select a weight.
- To change the line color: Click on the arrow on the Color box and select a color.
- To assign percentage value: Change the value in the Factor box.
- Show Y-scale price box: Check the Show price box to view the Y-Scale floating cursor that will display the Last price and values of studies.
- Show ratio labels box: Check the Show ratio labels box to display the Fibonacci ratio labels.
- To record your changed settings and exit the dialog, click OK. You can also click Apply, which will apply your changes without closing the dialog.
When you select a new style, color, or line weight for chart lines, grid lines, or study lines, subsequent charts will use your selections as the new default. Studies, however, are automatically given different colors for easier identification.
Note: Changing the properties on individual pages will over-ride selections in the Preferences.
Chart Styles
- To change the style of your base symbol chart or another price chart in the window:
- Right-click on the chart line or bar.
- Select the symbol Properties.
- In the General tab of the Properties dialog select the items you want to change.
- Click OK to exit.
Check mark Show Price Box to display the chart’s price on the y-scale and select a color to fill the back ground in the weight, subsequent charts in this window will be opened in the same style.
Changing the Chart Type
On the context toolbar (F2 to turn it on) click on the drop-down arrow next to the “candlestick” and select a new chart type.
